What a gorgeous day we had (and such a gorgeous couple)! I am so excited for their wedding next May…
There are so many pregnancies & births coming into existence lately, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in the whole experience. With all this excitement, it seems that each day/week/month brings something new to our circle of friends. We are long past the days when gender was a mystery but there are still so many surprises along the way; nesting notions, food cravings, the “did you know my body did this” stories.
The baby below is actually a mystery as this client opted out of finding out the gender. Either way, we’re all ready for whatever comes our way!
I had a super awesome time with the band The Juliettes at the J&M Cafe before their show last weekend. They are a fierce lady-band based in Seattle. You may know them from their winning song about the Rat City Roller Girls called “RCRG Anthem.” They will also be soon releasing a single named “Hooray You’re Gay” (taping video in March!). All proceeds go to It Gets Better and the Trevor Project.
We had a fun no-holds-barred time in which I got some of the shots I’d been visualizing since scheduling the shoot. Below is one of them. Nice when things work out that way. There are many more, but those pics are for The Juliettes to publicize at their own pace.

About a month ago I spent some time with Otis, a 15 year old cat. His person hired me to get some shots to submit to a cat calendar contest. Well, I just learned that Otis has become Mr. August 2011! We took many shots, but the one that was chosen was a simple one with Otis just chillin’ on his blankie. We took the winning shot at the very end, right before he went to sleep after a long hour of playing, hiding, and getting treats all while being lit correctly (he needs an agent!).
Just goes to show Otis is it. He doesn’t need all that fancy stuff – he can win a calendar shoot any old day. Congrats!
